Hi!

I've uploaded the new release of libmtp to experimental and I intend to move
it to Debian sid soon.

The following packages are affected:

 - amarok
 - audacious-plugins
 - banshee
 - clementine
 - gmtp
 - mtpfs
 - pymtp
 - rhythmbox
 - vlc

Please let me know when I can start the transition.
Thanks in advance.

I pushed libmtp and associated packages in to testing this evening, with
a couple of britney "hammers".

Although we were only at day six of the expected ten days before
migration, I decided to get the migration done now to avoid it getting
too entangled with the evolution / gdata transition via banshee, which
depends on both libmtp and gdata-sharp.

Unfortunately the ia64 and sparc builds of banshee had already picked up
dependencies on the new gdata-sharp, so I used the larger of the hammers
I mentioned above, to break them. Specifically, the following packages
are now uninstallable in testing and will likely remain so until
evolution / gdata is ready to migrate:

    * ia64: banshee, banshee-dbg, banshee-extension-lastfmfingerprint, banshee-extension-mirage, banshee-meego
    * sparc: banshee, banshee-dbg, banshee-extension-lastfmfingerprint, banshee-extension-mirage, banshee-meego

If either the ageing of libmtp or the breaking of banshee cause any
issues which you need our assistance to resolve, please let us know.

Regards,

Adam
