Dear release team, ClamAV 0.97.1 is now out for some time and meanwhile both unstable and testing have seen this new version. We'd also like to update the version in squeeze as, among other fixes, it includes one security fix for lzma handling (no CVE id). As far as can be told from the debdiff and from what we know from upstream this version, which we'd name 0.97.1+dfsg-1~squeeze1, should not break any reverse dependencies as the client interface has not changed. Two additional questions, in case this update is acceptable: - I don't need to do a sourceful upload, I suppose, as the original sources have been uploaded through unstable. - If you'd like to receive a prepared update annoucement, who should send this to? For reference, the full changelog entry is pasted below as well. Best regards, Michael PS.: Please keep me and/or pkg-clamav-devel CC'ed. clamav (0.97.1+dfsg-1~squeeze1) stable; urgency=low [ Michael Tautschnig ] * New upstream release - New option ClamukoExcludeUID for clamd * Added debconf question for clamav-milter/LogClean (closes: #617890). * Clarified text about clamav-milter's temporary directory in debconf question (closes: #617889). * Debconf translation updates - Japanese (closes: #624802) * Remove references to other libraries from dependency_libs field (closes: #621206).
