Suggestion to include old firewire stack

Hi
Is it able to include old firewire stack into next kernel release within
Squeeze distro? 
I have some troubles about my WD My Book and new firewire stack.
Troubles resolved in newer kernel (2.6.38). Old firewire implementation
is more stable, but was exluded from kernel. 

It would be more better to include old and new firewire modules in
squeeze kernel, but old modules would be black
