Does it affect lenny? - if so, you should also prepare a fix targetting "oldstable". Please don't upload yet - the release team will discuss the debdiff with you and give authorisation to proceed when they are happy. The window for 6.0.1 was due to close last weekend, so I expect this fix will be targetted for 6.0.2; therefore, you might not get a reply for a while.
