Hi, just to let you know a bit in advance, the following packages should be mostly ready to transition in like a week: - pixman - libdrm - mesa - xorg-server - xorg - many many too many xserver-xorg-{input,video}-* As “usual” it's pretty much self-contained. The worrying bits are: - pixman's bug: #613221 (http://bugs.debian.org/613221) Probably not a bug in pixman actually, but GNUstep's having troubles with it at run-time. According to Yavor[1], breaking GNUstep in testing should be acceptable (he's one of the GNUstep maintainers). - pixman itself: it seemed to me that upstream snapshots were sane enough to go to unstable, which upstream confirmed[2]. - xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: It needs a kernel >= 2.6.34 as documented in its README.Debian, so having it in testing without a matching kernel will cause some issues to nouveau users. They can still switch to the fbdev driver until the kernel is ready. I'm not really keen on having X stack's testing migration wait on the kernel. Neither am I happy to annoy nouveau users. But well, nouveau developers like to believe they have no users. :( 1. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34335#c13 2. http://lists.debian.org/debian-x/2011/02/msg01870.html If that's OK with you, I'll just downgrade the severity of the pixman bug to important (until it's investigated, probably through the upstream bug report), and not (re)open a bug against the nouveau driver. KiBi.
