Quoting Bill Allombert (ballombe@debian.org): > Package: release.debian.org > Severity: normal > User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org > Usertags: freeze-exception > > Please unblock package popularity-contest 1.50 > > This update only adds debconf translation in Serbian. > > popularity-contest (1.50) unstable; urgency=low > > [ Christian Perrier ] > * Pre-Depend on debconf (>= 1.5.34) to properly handle Serbian (Latin) > debconf translation Sorry, but my fix in that version is incorrect and unblocking this version will trigger an RC bug in squeeze. Pre-Depends: debconf (>= 1.5.34) | debconf-2.0 debconf < 1.5.34 satisfies "debconf-2.0", so this will not guarantee that debconf is upgraded and configured before popcon. As a consequence, it is very likely to break upgrades from lenny when popcon is installed because of the Serbian (Latin) debconf translation. The correct fix is: Pre-Depends: debconf (>= 1.5.34) | cdebconf (>= 0.106) Corry for the trouble.
