I'd like to see some progress here. The debian7 was in unstable since
about 20 days, and 0.99.3debian8 just fixes a few small things.
Furthermore, what shall be done about:
Bug#606623: update-notifier: owned and unowned files after purge
(policy 6.8 + 10.7.3)
Shall I upload a new release fixing this, or would you not want this -
it's not really RC, although the fix is just to add a prerm script that
does rm -r --one-file-system /var/lib/update-notifier on purge.
