I wondered what you may possibly be talking about until I saw
that the previous upload to unstable has not already migrated
to testing. Damn.
I don't really know what is the right thing to do here. The usage
of the current version in Debian has dropped rather dramatically
already, i.e. people use upstream's distribution or move to Ubuntu
that features the newer version already that is unstable since July.
