There's no support for the VX855 as of r842 (which is the proposed 
revision.) Work to add support for it started on r846 but as of r856 it 
still doesn't work [1].

There has been no (committed) work on adding support for that chipset since 
that revision. The only driver that supports them is VIA's.

[1] Somebody with access to a VX855 contacted me a few weeks ago and tested 
the packages of r856 I built, without success. They are available at:
http://people.debian.org/~geissert/openchrome/
