I plan to retain the compatibility symlinks in 1.40. I updated NEWS.Debian making it clear that the non-mt names are preferred. I plan to communicate this directly to the boost rdep maintainers in the near future. However, I hate to cause more churn in packaging for this issue, so I'm leaning towards keeping the symlinks for some time. Opinions welcome. Regards, -Steve
