Thanks Adam.

It turns out that the udev update modified the existing input rule so that 
the old persistent device name is no longer created.
But the update failed to add the new rule that creates the new by-path 
device present with current udev for squeeze/sid.

I will solve this in qcontrol by adding a custom udev rule to create the 
persistent device qcontrol needs.

I have realized that this will also require an update of Debian Installer 
for the next point release in order to get the new version of the 
qcontrol udeb included in the D-I intrds for arm/armel. But a D-I update 
would be needed as well if udev were updated.

If needs be I can take care of the D-I upload for that, but that can wait 
until the next point release is actually being planned so that any kernel 
updates also get included.
