I can't comment on this issue. I hope Dave can?

Issue:
* When do we enable NPTL for HPPA?

Answer:
* When usability testing is done.

Done:
* Built eglibc deb with NPTL enabled.
* Setup test chroot.
* Installed eglibc deb into chroot.

In progress:
* More complex applications fail under the new glibc.
* Debug failing application.

Timeline:
* Two weeks at the very least.

Issue:
* guile-gnome-platform testsuite fails.

Answer:
* libtool's la loader is not functioning correctly.

Done:
* Initial triage and narrowing of bug down to libtool la loading problem.

In progress:
* Building a test case for libtool's libltdl.so to prove it is broken.

Timeline:
* One week, though this changes if libtool appears to be not at fault.

Cheers,
Carlos.
