Hi Joao, Thanks for your bug report, http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=514028 I think this is definitely a bug and your patch looks good. But.... I can't repeat the behavior on lenny/sid and it appears you are running an Ubuntu intrepid libc6. Maybe it is doing additional malloc checking or something?
