Hi, Both foomatic-db and foomatic-filters-ppds contain PPD files that CUPS refuses to parse since version 1.3.8, leading several hundreds of printers to fail working. Unstable versions contain fixes for this issue: foomatic-db (20080211-2+nmu1) unstable; urgency=low * Non-maintainer upload with maintainer's consent. * Makefile.in: after installation, fix a common mistake in the .ppd files that makes cups fail to use them. Closes: #493104. foomatic-filters-ppds (20080528-1+nmu1) unstable; urgency=low * Non-maintainer upload with maintainer's approval. * install: after installation, fix a common mistake in the .ppd files that makes cups fail to use them. Closes: #497015. * Recommand cups instead of cupsys. Thanks, -- .''`. : :' : We are debian.org.
