Request for freeze exception for vdr, vdr-plugin-live and vdr-plugin-bitstreamout

Dear Release Team,

I kindly ask you, to allow a freeze exception for the following packages:

1. Package vdr-plugin-bitstreamout 0.89b-8
------------------------------------------

Version 0.89b-3 was in unstable	before the freeze since 2008-07-19 but
didn't migrate to Testing, because of a FTBS on hppa (#489491 [2]) and
later on the RC bug #494425 [3] which was added after the freeze.

#494425 was trivial to fix in 0.89b-4 (see [4]):

vdr-plugin-bitstreamout (0.89b-4) unstable; urgency=low

  * Added 04_APIVERSION.dpatch to fix an upstream bug, causing the plugin lib
    to be installed with the wrong API version (Closes: #494425)

The original cause of this FTBS was, that the GCC on hppa has a problem
when outputting to /dev/null [1].

Unfortunately it took several uploads - something I personally have to
take full responsibility for - to fix this problem. I've simply overseen,
that the build problem already appears, when the clean target is called
before the dpatch-patches are applied.

In the end the whole diff between 0.89b-3 and the current version 0.89b-8
in Unstable boils down to removing the ineffective hppa-workaround bugfix
from the dpatch-patches and adding it to the diff directly.

See [5] - all this diff does, is remove the checks for the existence of
libs and headers from the Makefile, which fails on hppa but isn't
necessary for the Debian package at all.

2. Package vdr 1.6.0-7
----------------------

Version 1.6.0-7 fixes bug #491586 [6] which affects Debians "Switch
/bin/sh to dash" release goal.

vdr (1.6.0-7) unstable; urgency=medium

  [ Thomas Schmidt ]
  * Fixed bashism in debian/rules (Closes: #491586)

 -- Tobias Grimm <tg@e-tobi.net>  Wed, 27 Aug 2008 19:08:44 +0200

It's a trivial fix in debian/rules:

-	[ "$(OOLIST)" == "debian/patches/00list" ] || \
+	[ "$(OOLIST)" = "debian/patches/00list" ] || \

3. Package vdr-plugin-live 0.2.0-4
----------------------------------

Version 0.2.0-4 fixes bug #496936 [7] which affects Debians "full IPv6
support" release goal.

vdr-plugin-live (0.2.0-4) unstable; urgency=low

  * Added 01_ipv6 to allow usage of IPV6 addresses (Closes: #496936)

See [8]

Thanks a lot!
