Request for a hint for yaz
Hi,
Can you make the yaz packages (libyaz3, libyaz3-dev, yaz, yaz-doc,
yaz-icu and yaz-illclient) enter testing ?
Here is the situation :
- 3.0.26+debian.1-1 does not enter testing due to a FTBFS on arm (#483649)
(but 3.0.26+debian.1-1 leaded more than 12 days in unstable without
any other RC bug)
- this FTBFS was in fact due to a libicu38 bug (#484138) [that have been
fixed since]
- 3.0.26+debian.1-2 is a rebuild of 3.0.26+debian.1-1 with one test
in the test suite removed (the test that trigger the libicu38 bug
on arm). It is not yet 10 days old (but built and installed on all
arch including arm)
- yaz in testing is 2.1.18-2. In theory, it should even be removed due to
licenses issues (fixed by upstream in 3.0.26)
- due to the soname change, yaz in currently blocking other packages
such as tellico
- I would like to upload 3.0.30-1 into sid but, as there are several
upstream changes, I'm not sure it will reach testing in 10 days.
So, please, accept to hint yaz/3.0.26+debian.1-2
As I said before, the software is the same as 3.0.26+debian.1-1 and
it will solve the soname transition.
And so, I will be able to upload yaz 3.0.30 to unstable in the hope
that all will be ready for lenny.
