Hello!

I just saw the following:

# Switch /bin/sh to dash
  Advocate: Petter Reinholdtsen?
  Release-Team-Contact: ??
Description: Make sure dash is installed and preseed debconf question.
   Fix bashisms.
  Bug-User: debian-release@lists.debian.org
  Bug-Tag: goal-dash
  Bug-Url: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?users=debian-release@lists.debian.org&tag=goal-dash
  State: confirmed

A couple of shells (including mksh) still have a mechanism to be used
as /bin/sh and there was no consensus about how to handle this when I
looked last time.

Please give me more information about how to change it to meet the
release goals of Lenny – i.e., whether the ability to use a shell
other than dash as /bin/sh is to be removed (from debconf, not by
changing the link manually), or the debconf questions and scripts
need to be adjusted.

Thanks!

Description:
mksh - enhanced version of the Korn shell
Closes: 469675
Changes:
 mksh (33.4-1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * New upstream release; changelog:
     - Move a portability define from sh.h to the setmode.c helper, as it’s
only needed there, and we want to use the latter from MirMake as well
     - SECURITY: when spawning mksh on a new terminal, for example with
“sudo mksh -lT/dev/ttyC7”, flush all of that tty’s I/O first
     - dot.mkshrc: ensure “ls” is no alias, don’t hardcode its path
   * As dash won’t be the default /bin/sh without the current alternative
handling / debconf mechanism in lenny (as per the mail from Martin
Zobel-Helas), there is no need to act regarding our debconf scripts
and /bin/sh ability, so I think this Closes: #469675
