Hi, since version 0.7.1 (currently in experimental), python-support can handle namespace packages, which are going to be required by some packages using setuptools. Such packages will need to get a dependency on python-support 0.7.1 for this to work. However I don't want to add some code to detect whether this dependency is actually needed because it would be a bit too complex and unreliable. The result (make the dependency 0.7.1 for all packages) is like a shlibs bump, which would have the downside to prevent packages from migrating to testing until python-support does. Would the release team be OK with such a dependency bump? -- .''`. Josselin Mouette /\./\ : :' : josselin.mouette@ens-lyon.org `. `' joss@debian.org `- Debian GNU/Linux -- The power of freedom
