404937 isn't marked as RC, and in fact there's no explanation in the bug at
all for what the problem was. Was this package broken on all sparc systems?
The changelog refers to an alignment problem, but the diff suggests that the
problem would be reading a 64-bit value from a pointer to a 32-bit variable,
leaving 32 bits of the resulting value undefined, whether or not the 32-bit
variable happened to be aligned? I agree this is a significant bug, I'm
just trying to understand the difference between the changelog and the diff.
