It will be tricky, considering that you don't want to go through the alternatives route. Please take in account that it will be a 'one shot' thing for Etch and we just need to be sure that we won't introduce bugs, break security fixes and the upgrade in the future. Considering that desktop-base contains the standard desktop artwork *it is* a valid dependency for xfce4-session IMHO. It's the easier route, the one that makes more sense to me and fits with the obvious criteria i described above. Thoughts? regards, -- stratus
