Sorry, we don't have any more access to override katie's version
constraints than you do.  There's been discussion about whether uploads
to s-p-u should have the same effect of back-propagating to t-p-u and
unstable that stable-security does, but I don't think any real
conclusion has been reached yet.

The other option would be to upload a version of e2fsprogs built against
glibc 2.3.2 to testing-proposed-updates, allow it to be installed, and
then upload to stable as well.  Not that I'm keen on letting large
updates in through t-p-u, but given that these are important fixes that
testing is also missing, it seems reasonable to try.
