Hi all, I am planning to upload fam 2.7.0-6sarge1 to stable-proposed-updates that incorporates the updated dnotify patch that is in 2.7.0-7. The updated dnotify patch fixes both #316579 and #296609, which potentially affects all uses of removable media. Bug #316579 is claimed to cause hardware damage, and I think we should address the issue in stable.
