I think that the release team would consider to approve a fixed version of
cdrdao for sarge. At least, similar approval has been given for quite
a few other packages with amd64 related fixes.
Please apply the simple patch to make cdrdao work on amd64. Even if it
will not be accepted into sarge, there will at least be a working
version in sid then.
