Test cycle status
I'm starting the test cycle, in the sense that I will no longer install
packages unless they are explicitly needed for boot-floppies or CD image
creation.
I will still have to make some changes tomorrow, mainly removal of
broken packages. These should not affect the boot-floppies except
that I may have to arrange an NMU of task-japanese. Will that be
a problem?
I also assume that you will need these packages to be installed
tomorrow:
- dpkg 1.6.13 for whatever architectures it is available (these are
recompiles, but I have to install them by hand)
- kernel-patch-2.2.15-powerpc, or whatever it was called.
I'm also going to assume that kernel-images uploaded to frozen are
specifically intended for use in the boot-floppies. For anything
else, please tell me directly or via debian-release.
Since this will be the first day of the cycle, the architectures
are still out of sync and the autobuilders may need some time to
catch up. I hope that the person compiling boot-floppies for
each architecture is aware of the situation for that architecture,
because I don't have an overview of that.
