I'll be away from saturday till (the beginning of) wednesday.  I'd
hoped to be a bit further along by this time, so that we could start
the test cycle right after I make some last few changes on friday.
Looks like it's not going to happen that way.

Would this work:

  On monday (or whenever you're ready) we start a one-week test of
the boot-floppies, during which time nothing changes in the base
system.
