Humm this one is... funny.
The detection of R packages is done by autodep8 in:
https://salsa.debian.org/ci-team/autodep8/-/blob/master/support/r/detect
But, don't know why it was triggered by bio-vcf.
Is the repo on salsa up to date or do you have local changes?
