Updated status of R packages
[This is an update of my previous mail and replaces this]
Hi,
after release of Debian 10 I tried to catch up to update all R packages
to recent upstream versions (since in freeze policy was forbidding this
and we were lagging behind).
Currently 6 packages are waiting for new preconditions in new queue. I
documented in d/changelog in Git on what package these are waiting for.
There is one package we can not update: r-bioc-metagenomeseq
It depends r-bioc-wrench which in turn depends r-cran-locfit which can
not be packaged legally (see #731599). Discussion with CRAN admins to
remove locfit from CRAN to force users to find alternatives is ongoing.
r-cran-rhandsontable (0.3.7+dfsg-1) UNRELEASED; urgency=medium
TODO: replace inst/htmlwidgets/lib/numbro/languages.min.js by
https://github.com/BenjaminVanRyseghem/numbro
which seems to be complex since it requires extra JS packages. I'd be
really happy if someone joins in here. I admit that I'm doing currently
a lot to keep R packages up to date - a bit more than expected since I
expected when we started this team. So please keep on watching
https://salsa.debian.org/r-pkg-team/maintenance-utilities/blob/master/outdated_r-packages.txt
the upcoming three weeks. It would be nice if there would not be lots
of updating work left for me in November.
Kind regards
Andreas.
