Bug#1121353: knighttime should depend on geoclue-2.0
Package: knighttime
Version: 6.5.3-1
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: jmp@justinmp.com
Dear Maintainer,
Recently, I noticed that the Night Light feature of KDE would turn on
at 18:00 and turn off at 06:00 even though I had set the system to use
my local sunset and sunrise (which, for me, this close to December 21, is long
before 18:00 and long after 06:00).
journalctl --user -u plasma-knighttimed.service showed:
knighttimed[90135]: qt.positioning.geoclue2: Unable to obtain the client: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" "The name org.freedesktop.GeoClue2 was not provided by any .service files"
The D-Bus interface files for GeoClue2 are provided by geoclue-2.0.
When I installed geoclue-2.0 and restarted KDE, the Night Light
feature now works with my local sunset and sunrise.
Thanks,
—Justin
