Could you please reproduce the test by opening 2 terminal emulator, in the first launch
$ systemsettings
in the second
$ sudo journalctl -f
, try to pair and connect, then paste the resulting logs here?

I'm pretty sure the fault is not in plasma-desktop itself, but it would help to know
which component exactly is failing.
