Re: SoundKonverter renoved from Debian 13 ;-(

Hello Timothy,

You'll excuse me, but what you say is incorrect !! SoundKonverter was indeed available in Debian 11 & 12.

https://packages.debian.org/search?suite=default§ion=all&arch=any&lang=fr&searchon=names&keywords=Soundkonverter

If you are happy with Gnome-SoundConverter, good for you, but personally I am not as I explained.

If you'd like to participate in the discussion to move things forward, please avoid providing false information or sharing your personal preferences that only interest you, as you'll be wasting my time instead of answering my question.

If anyone can tell me the procedure to follow to get SoundConvertor reintegrated into Debian, I would be extremely grateful.

Greetings

Hello dear maintainers / developers,

The "Soundkonverter" software has disappeared from Debian 13 !?

SoundKonvertor hasn't been in Debian for a while now. It wasn't in Debian 12 and I do not think it was in 11 either.
I saw that it's no longer maintained by anyone ?

This is the software I use to convert my music into different formats, I absolutely need it for that for this.

There's an alternative called Gnome-Soundconverter, but it's buggy, and the latest news is that its new maintainer doesn't seem able to fix it.

I have been using soundconverter it works fine for me. I do prefer soundkonvertor though as I use KDE.

What can we do to get Soundkonverter back into Debian ?

Best regards.
