Bug#1089099: qml6-module-qtquick3d fails to coinstall
Package: qml6-module-qtquick3d
Version: 6.7.2-5
Severity: serious
Justification: installation failure from dpkg
When coinstalling qml6-module-qtquick3d, apt and dpkg disagree. apt
thinks it is satisfiable, but dpkg not:
| dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of qml6-module-qtquick3d:amd64:
| qml6-module-qtquick3d:armel (6.7.2-5) breaks qml6-module-quick3d and is unpacked but not configured.
| qml6-module-qtquick3d:amd64 (6.7.2-5) provides qml6-module-quick3d.
|
| dpkg: error processing package qml6-module-qtquick3d:amd64 (--configure):
| dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
You cannot combine the three of:
* Provides: qml6-module-quick3d
* Breaks: qml6-module-quick3d
* Multi-Arch: same
While apt ignores self-conflicts across architectures, dpkg considers
them valid and refuses to coinstall. In principle, this is a problem in
apt or dpkg (or both), but at present you cannot use this metadata.
Removing any of these lines fixes the problem (while introducing other
problems of course). I fear I don't have a good solution, but this is
broken. Don't shoot the messenger please.
