Further investigation reveals that this was fixed upstream in the Chromium source code and applied in the Debian Chromium 112.0.5615.121-1 package.

Debian’s Qt 6 WebEngine package is not yet based on a new enough version of Chromium for the change to be applied there, but it will be in the future (probably with the 6.6.0 release).

As Qt 5 WebEngine is approaching end of life, and as this change is unlikely to ever be applied upstream, it probably just makes sense to drop the unused build-depends on rollup and continue to build with the embedded copy.
There is a merge request that implements that and closes this bug.

Feel free to comment if you think a different solution should be implemented.
