partitionmanager is designed to be run by non-root user.
The reason I tried to run it with sudo was that it would not run without it: it did not show any devices, or allow me to do anything.
I assumed that the device info was privileged, and therefore required sudo - certainly to change any partition would require
administrative rights, anyway...
I just now ran partitionmanager from the terminal, and as usual, got no info in the displayed window.

qt.qpa.wayland: setGrabPopup called with a parent, QtWaylandClient::QWaylandXdgSurface(0x55730e3da910) which does not match the current topmost g rabbing popup, QtWaylandClient::QWaylandXdgSurface(0x55730e45efd0) According to the xdg-shell protocol, this is not allowed. The wayland QPA plug in is currently handling it by setting the parent to the topmost grabbing popup. Note, however, that this may cause positioning errors and popups closing unxpectedly because xdg-shell mandate that child popups close before parents

For me, partitionmanager does not work.
