Package: qdbus Version: 4:4.8.7+dfsg-20 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, When I want to upgrade qdbus, aptitude complains: libqt4-dbus : Dépend: qdbus (= 4:4.8.7+dfsg-20) but it is not going to be installed But there is no upgrade for libqt4-dbus. Thus, removing qdbus removes at least 115 packages. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 5.7.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/3 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr_FR:fr:en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages qdbus depends on: ii libc6 2.31-11 ii libgcc-s1 10.2.1-6 ii libqt4-xml 4:4.8.7+dfsg-20 ii libqtcore4 4:4.8.7+dfsg-20 ii libqtdbus4 4:4.8.7+dfsg-20 ii libstdc++6 10.2.1-6 ii qtchooser 66-2 qdbus recommends no packages. qdbus suggests no packages.

Yes, libqt4-dbus is an obsolete package and should be removed, just like the rest of Qt 4. Qt 4 was removed from Debian unstable more than a year ago (see #953294), nothing should depend on it anymore. -- Dmitry ShachnevAttachment: signature.asc
