Package: ksnapshot Version: 4:4.4.5-1 Severity: normal Choose the following ksnaphot parameters: Capture mode: Region Snapshot delay: 3 seconds Open klipper's global menu with its hotkey, wait for selection area Bugs: 1) Usually in this mode ksnapshot changes cursor to cross, it doesn't do this now. I need to click once, then cursor is changed to cross 2) Usually I can use Enter to close selection area, it doesn't work now If the klipper's global menu is not opened, ksnapshot's selection area works as expected. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (20, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ksnapshot depends on: ii kdebase-runtime 4:4.4.5-1 runtime components from the offici ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libkdecore5 4:4.4.5-1 the KDE Platform Core Library ii libkdeui5 4:4.4.5-1 the KDE Platform User Interface Li ii libkio5 4:4.4.5-1 the Network-enabled File Managemen ii libqt4-dbus 4:4.6.3-1+b1 Qt 4 D-Bus module ii libqtcore4 4:4.6.3-1+b1 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4:4.6.3-1+b1 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++6 4.4.4-8 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.1.2-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ksnapshot recommends no packages. ksnapshot suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Dear ksnapshot user, ksnapshot has not been developed upstream for many years already, and Spectacle (available in the kde-spectacle package) replaced it upstream and also in Debian, starting from Debian 9 (Stretch). Since ksnapshot was removed from Debian more than 4 years ago, it is time to close all the open bugs for it. Spectacle, even if it does something similar to what ksnapshot did, is a totally different application started from scratch (and thus not sharing anything code-wise with ksnapshot); because of this, there is no point in moving all the ksnapshot bugs to Spectacle. Most probably you have been using Spectacle already for a few years; we recommend to report bugs and feature requests for it directly to the upstream bug tracker system: https://bugs.kde.org/, product "Spectacle". Thank you again for you report, -- Pino ToscanoAttachment: signature.asc
