Package: konqueror Version: 4:18.12.0-1 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 I'm having a great deal of trouble debugging this, but I noticed it occurs on a couple of sites. Typing http://kb.iu.edu/, for example, into the address bar doesn't work. It yields these errors: kf5.kio.widgets: KonqRun(0x55f12142fa20) ERROR (stat): 123 "Could not connect to host kb.iu.edu: SSL negotiation failed." QUrl("error:/?error=123&errText=kb.iu.edu%3A SSL negotiation failed#http://kb.iu.edu") Strangely, the site loads fine if one uses a search engine and then clicks a link to it. I thought I'd try another college website on a hunch, and the same thing happens with purdue.edu If I can help obtain any more details, please do let me know. - -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers stable-debug APT policy: (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_FIRMWARE_WORKAROUND Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages konqueror depends on: ii dolphin 4:18.08.0-1 ii install-info 6.5.0.dfsg.1-4+b1 ii kio 5.54.1-1 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libkf5archive5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5bookmarks5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5codecs5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5completion5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5configcore5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5configgui5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5configwidgets5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5coreaddons5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5crash5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5dbusaddons5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5i18n5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5iconthemes5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5itemviews5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5jobwidgets5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5kcmutils5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5kdelibs4support5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5khtml5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5kiocore5 5.54.1-1 ii libkf5kiofilewidgets5 5.54.1-1 ii libkf5kiogui5 5.54.1-1 ii libkf5kiowidgets5 5.54.1-1 ii libkf5konq6 4:18.12.0-1 ii libkf5parts5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5service-bin 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5service5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5sonnetcore5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5sonnetui5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5wallet-bin 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5wallet5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5widgetsaddons5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5windowsystem5 5.54.0-1 ii libkf5xmlgui5 5.54.0-1 ii libqt5core5a 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5dbus5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5gui5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5network5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5printsupport5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5webenginecore5 5.11.3+dfsg-2+b1 ii libqt5webenginewidgets5 5.11.3+dfsg-2+b1 ii libqt5widgets5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5x11extras5 5.11.3-2 ii libqt5xml5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libstdc++6 8.3.0-6 Versions of packages konqueror recommends: ii kfind 4:17.08.3-2 Versions of packages konqueror suggests: ii konq-plugins 4:18.12.0-1 - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iHUEARMIAB0WIQQd3xxna2VescxVfdXYKFckL7guMwUCXTPNkgAKCRDYKFckL7gu MxwRAP9qyH4fFTh/6uQdpdse0fa93xOnT2z4QQ8vJKF+m3LVnwD/R3KjZNprJvuJ pjkuZJRMk1uhGnC+82LEP3a4BG6hayQ= =8KQ3 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

This was probably due to #955442 in OpenSSL. It is now working in Konqueror, cURL, and other applications with many previously problematic sites.Attachment: signature.asc
