Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
After installation of fcitx (apt-get install fcitx fcitx-mozc kde-config-fcitx) Plasma Discover takes a long time to enable the fetching and update all buttons. When it times out, the buttons are enabled.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I started PD in update mode from the terminal: plasma-discover --mode update

I do not know why PD needs these knsrc files but if it does, it should not take so long to continue and enable the top right buttons.
