Bug#921073: kde-runtime: kuiserver crash while using external monitor

Package: kde-runtime
Version: 4:16.08.3-2
Severity: important
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

An external screen was connected to the system and was selected
     as primary screen.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I was working as usual when the whole screen went blank, after a
few seconds I saw SDDM open up with login page. Applications
opened when I was working were Chromium and Konsole.

   /var/log/syslog:

Feb 1 14:58:30 Rise org.kde.kuiserver[29517]: kuiserver: Fatal IO error: client killed

   Feb 1 14:58:31 Rise sddm[795]: Adding new display on vt 7 ...

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The other behaviour I noticed is that when I do "Present Windows"
effect on a particular desktop and try to choose a window by
typing, it does not work when another screen is attached. It
     works otherwise on my laptop.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I should be able to select a screen in "Present Windows" effect
by typing and KDE should work without crashing when a second
screen is attached to a laptop.
