I have confirmed this problem in my Debian testing. We had some discussion in debian-kde mailing list. After Luca Pedrielli's survey with `strace -f plasmawindowd plasmawindowed org.kde.plasma.keyboardindicator` (Please see https://pastebin.com/t0gB26G1 ) in line 18656 it starts to look for [lib]kmodifierkey_xcb[.so] which does not exist in Debian, and gives Error: could not load plugin for platform "" error: "The shared library was not found." QObject(0x0) Luca thinks it may be something wrong in plasma_engine_keystate.so but not sure where the problem is. Franklin
