Package: libqt5widgets5 Version: 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 Severity: important Tags: patch upstream Qt5 < 5.12 have a rather nasty bug preventing tooltips and other "mouse-over" events from working for *all* Qt applications that have no special graphic tablets support. The cursor does move, but there is no application response to cursor movement due to broken event handling. Upstream has fixed this in Qt 5.12 and it appears the fix is also backported to Qt 5.9, see https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/257021. A patch to resolve this has been submitted to salsa, this bug report tracks the issue. See https://salsa.debian.org/qt-kde-team/qt/qtbase/merge_requests/10. I have confirmed the issue is resolved with this patch with the Wacom tablet I use locally. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages libqt5widgets5 depends on: ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libqt5core5a [qtbase-abi-5-11-3] 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libqt5gui5 5.11.3+dfsg1-1 ii libstdc++6 8.3.0-6 libqt5widgets5 recommends no packages. libqt5widgets5 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
