I tried Plasma session on Wayland today. Closing a window in it crashes the
session and returns me back to SDDM.

I'm sorry to hear that, but most of the wayland support in Debian is in preview release mode, in fact, I think that that problem that you are reporting might be in xwayland or in a lower layer of the wayland stack (see #897390[1], for example).

I couldn't reproduce the issue in my machine. Is there any other wayland desktop session that does work for you?

Given this, I'm lowering the severity.
