Package: kdebase-bin
Severity: normal

-- System Information:
Debian Release: 5.0
  APT prefers unstable
APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental')
Architecture: x86_64

Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores)
Locale: LANG=de_DE@euro, LC_CTYPE=de_DE@euro (charmap=ISO-8859-15)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash
Dear maintainers,

during upgrade of kdebase-bin the permission of /usr/bin/kcheckpass is set
to 0755. Because of that, the screensaver in KDE cannot be unlocked by a
normals user, even when he gets the correct password.

Workaround:
Set /usr/bin/kcheckpass manually to 4755 with owner root:root

Thanks for your attention!

Best regards

Hans-J. Ullrich
