Version: 3.5.7

When I try fish://some-url this aborts with failure message. It started after a recent apt-get update/ugrade cycle. I have located the culprit:

/usr/lib/kde3/kio_fish.so

the faulty one is

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 80864 2007-09-19 23:01 kio_fish.so

when I replace it with an older one

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 77276 2007-10-08 13:10 kio_fish.so (copied from other machine)

the problem goes away.

debian stable

Kees
