I think you are mistaken here. Qt depends on getrandom(2) syscall that was
added in kernel 3.17 (see #895718), but that is not related to QFile::exists()
in any way.
Regarding this issue, I cannot reproduce it yet.
I was told it produces another "interesting" side effects which do not appear to be related.
But testing with a newer kernel should be enough.
