after ejecting media from my external USB DVD drive the "Devices" list is not updated. A newly inserted disk leads to a new entry with the new name of the disk. After doing this with e.g. 5 disks I got 5 different entries in devices.
I would expect the entry to disappear after ejecting.
Are you ejecting the disks using the physical eject button or the eject option in the device shown by dolphin?
I would expect this behavior to be caused by a lower level library than by dolphin per se, that would be kio, udisks, the kernel module for the usbdvd, etc. I don't have a usb dvd drive to test this (nor any data cds/dvds around for what it's worth), so I'm tagging this help as way to request someone to confirm that they can reproduce the issue.
If you consider this not really needed, please forward the bug upstream directly, reporting the issue in: https://bugs.kde.org, and please send us the url of the upstream bug after doing so.
