The latest update pulled in plasma-pa. kmix was already installed. Now there are two mixers in my tray. That's confusing and shouldn't happen.

If plasma-pa is supposed to take over kmix (which I don't know), maybe make kmix a transitional package which pulls in plasma-pa.

Sorry that it took so long to get back to you. Sadly, even now, it's not clear if plasma-pa will ever be a full replacement of kmix, and/or if kmix will be fully migrated to kf5. plasma-pa is the recommended mixer for pulseaudio based systems, while kmix handles alsa and pulseaudio systems but using the deprecated kde4 stack, while I agree that this might be an annoyance to users that end up with two volume control applets they are easily disabled. So in the end the user can decide which one to use.

Happy hacking,
