Using ksshaskpass with KDE, when using ssh to log in to a remote host, the dialog prompt does not show. It executes ksshaskpass in the background but no window shows up, so the login just seems to hang.

Had to install kdewalletcli and use kwalletaskpass instead, which shows the dialog correctly.

ksshaskpass should be called by ssh-add or by ssh when there is no associated terminal (either using the SSH_ASKPASS environment variable or the ssh-askpass alternative configuration). It's not supposed to do anything when using an interactive ssh, and it's not supposed to be used directly.

How were you trying to use ksshaskpass?
