Bug#869766: kmix: output volume level from analogue input changes randomly

Package: kmix
Version: 4:16.08.0-1+b1
Followup-For: Bug #869766

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

Playing sound from the analogue input of my Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS,
identified in alsamixer as:

Card: SB Audigy 2 ZS [SB0350]
 Chip: SigmaTel STAC9750,51

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I observed the levels shown on alsamixer and the source labelled as PCM
spontaneously jumped to 100. This only happens under plasma desktop, and
I suspect that something in KDE is changing the sound level.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
