Package: systemsettings
Version: 4:5.3.2-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

On Debian sid, after upgrading to systemsettings:4:5.3.2-1 and even after upgrading to 4:5.3.2-2, everytime I open System Settings, it gives me an error popup saying "System Settings was unable to find any views, and hence has nothing to display."

FWIW, the network connections widget also disappeared from my systray. I have to resort to nmtui to make my network connections work. Display configuration also stopped working. When on dual display I used to be able to disable my laptop's monitor and keep only the external monitor working. Now, it clones the view on both monitors and I don't know another way to set it up other than System Settings -> Display Settings.

KMix, battery level, activities, launcher, device notifier, synaptiks, ktorrent, manage printer jobs, klipper, hexchat and chrome notifications still show up on the systray.

I tried upgrading to kde-window-manager ver. 4:5.3.2-3 yesterday and once again it completely broke my desktop (could not close any windows, no programs functioned, etc.). I went back to version 4:4.11.13-2. I have put the package on hold until a solution is found.

Sorry that it took so long to get back to you.

The issue that you reported is not currently reproducible with the newer
versions. And given the time that this issue has been idle, I'm closing
it, as it's most likely obsolote by now.

Please, if you can still reproduce the issue, reopen this bug with information
on how can we reproduce it.

Happy hacking,
