Each note has a title and body font, the default settings are used to create new notes. You need to access the note preferences with right click on the note title, Preferences to change the font for a particular note. This seems to me that it's working as intended, if you think otherwise, please report this issue upstream (following the indications mentioned in the previous bug report), otherwise I think that this report can be closed.
